In Iraq, September 2005 to September 2006. U.S. Army. A combat soldier in a historic war - America's first unprovoked invasion and occupation of another country. Center: Erek's Humvee back at base after IED blast. He was driving. May 4, 2006. A piece of manhole cover when thru the floor, badly bruised his leg, and went out the roof. Driver side door caved in. ENTERING THE GENEALOGY SECTION The following began around 1957 when I started researching my great-great-grandfather David Hartzell, born 1805 in Virginia, married 1835 in Connersville, Indiana, and died 1865 near Windsor, Illinois. That's all we knew about him. It has been my lifetime project to find his ancestry and life story. I think his parents were Adam & Christina (Sink) Hartzell.

Son Philip, b. abt. 1787, was married. Daughter Catherine "Kate" must have married. *The son b. 1794-1800 was not Jonas. He was son of Adam & Sara Hartzell. The only clue     to George's birth year is the 1830 VA Census, which shows b. 1781 - 1790 (error?). If Leonard was born in late 1799, he would have been under 10 in the summer of 1810. A Daniel Hartsell gave a Bible to David Hartzell. NOTE: D. A. Hartzell, 1860 Storrs Twp. (Cincinatti),     Hamilton Co., Ohio; b. 1802 VA was "David", not "Daniel". (Found June 2008.)
