Quantum Leap

This is one of my biggest bugaboos - people using the physics phrase "quantum leap" where it sounds like a big jump.

A quantum leap (jump) is the distance an electron jumps when going from one electron orbit to the next. Since 100,000 atoms fit in the width of a human hair, a rough approximation is that

there are about 1 million quantum leaps in the width of a human hair.
